Director Hansal Mehta impressed the audience with the web series ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ starring Prateek Gandhi. Now, three years after ‘Scam 1992’, the director brings the second installment of the scam series ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’. It is going to release this year. OTT platform Sony Live has announced the release date of this web series.

SonyLIV completes three years as a digital platform. On this occasion, SonyLIV revealed the release date of ‘Scam 2003’ by sharing a title motion poster video on Instagram. Wrote in the caption that ‘The Telgi Story is the follow-up to Hansal Mehta’s 2020 hit ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’. ‘Scam 2023: The Telgi Story’ is all set to stream on Sony LIV from 2nd September
Story based on Scam 2003
In which the story of Abdul Karim Telgi, convicted for printing fake stamp papers, will be shown. Abdul started as a vendor and got the idea of counterfeit tickets while working in travel companies. The scam, which spread across several states, shocked the entire nation. The web series is adapted from the Hindi book Reporter Ki Diary written by journalist Sanjay Singh. Hansal Mehta recently co-produced and directed the Netflix crime drama series ‘Scoop’. Earlier, he directed the hostage thriller film ‘Faraj’.
