Let’s talk about Ji Chang Wook’s upcoming drama titled “Queen Wu”. This action-packed show with a historical setting follows the story of Queen Wu, played by Jun Jong Soo, who has 24 hours to find the rightful heir to the throne after the king suddenly passes. She becomes the target of five different clans and ambitious princes who all want power of their own. With such a promising premise and an amazing cast, including Ji Chang Wook as the king, this drama is definitely one to look forward to.

Another highly anticipated drama is “Dr. Slump”, led by Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik. This reunion project between the two actors, after 10 years since “The Heirs”, follows the story of two doctors who realize their lives have no meaning. The drama revolves around the legal director of one of the biggest conglomerates in South Korea, played by Kim Soo Hyun, and the arrogant RS, played by Kim Ji Won. Together, they overcome obstacles in this romantic comedy. With the script written by Park Ji Eun, the writer of “Crash Landing on You”, this drama has high expectations.

For those who love fantasy shows, “The Sense” is the drama to look out for. Starring Kim Yo Han and Han Ye Ri, this occult series follows a group of students at a Catholic school who can see, hear, and speak to spirits. When an evil spirit awakens after 10 years, the students are tasked with capturing it. While there were some rumors about the drama being suspended, the production company clarified that it was just a miscommunication, and the production is still ongoing.

“Alone in the Woods” is a mystery thriller starring veteran actor Kim Yoon Seok. The plot revolves around two men, one who owns a motel in 2001 and one who runs a pension in the present. Their lives are turned upside down when a mysterious woman enters their lives. Filming for this drama started in April and is set to wrap up in mid-September.

Asun dreams of becoming a poet, but she can’t go to school. Guan Chick is a quiet guy unfamiliar with romance but willing to try his best to love her. Filming for this demanding drama started in February and will continue until December of this year.

Last but not least, the brand new season of “Squid Game” is in the works. While there is no specific information about the release date yet, the hype for this highly popular show continues.

Huang Dong Hyuk, the writer and director of the show, has teased that the second season of the series will be even bigger and better than the first. He definitely proved that it’s going to be bigger by revealing tons of new additions to the cast. They even casted former idols such as Top and Joe Yuri.

The star of the drama, Lee Jong Jae, revealed that filming would start sometime in the summer of this year. Most of the summer has passed, so they’ve probably already made some progress by now. In the past, Lee Jong Jae revealed that wrapping up filming for season one took around 10 months. If that’s the case this time around as well, it’ll take a while before we get to see any of it.
