As reported by KBS, a prominent figure in the music and concert organization sphere, the K-pop concert is scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 11th at 7:00 pm.
In addition to ‘New Jeans’ and ‘NCT Dream’, the event will showcase performances by other notable K-pop acts such as ‘Itzy’, ‘Mamamoo’, ‘Zero Base One’ (Jebewon), Kang Daniel from ‘Wanna One’, Kwon Eunbi and Cho Yuri from ‘IZone’, Shownu X Hyungwon, Fromis 9, KARD, Holy Bang, P1 Harmony, The New Six, ATBO, Cykers, and the crossover group ‘Liberante’.
This diverse and impressive lineup promises an exciting and memorable event, bringing together a range of K-pop talents to entertain and enthral the audience.
Indeed, the upcoming concerts featuring ‘New Jeans’ and ‘NCT Dream’ are generating substantial buzz within the K-pop scene due to the immense popularity of these groups. Their performances are anticipated to capture the attention of fans and enthusiasts alike. Additionally, Mamamoo, a group that has recently been focusing on unit and solo activities due to Hwasa’s agency transition, will be reuniting as a complete quartet.
Originally planned to be held at the Saemangeum Jamboree site on the 6th, the Jamboree K-Pop Concert had to be postponed due to safety concerns and extreme heat. Subsequently, it was rescheduled to take place at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 11th. However, due to the impact of Typhoon Kanun, the venue was changed once more, relocating the event to the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
While initially, the lineup included acts like Zero Base One, IVE, NMIXX, and STAYC, the rescheduling caused difficulties for several groups due to their pre-existing commitments and schedules. Despite these challenges, the concert is set to feature a dynamic roster of talented performers, ensuring an exciting and memorable event for all attendees.
The introduction of the revised lineup sparked significant interest within the K-pop community. During the process of assembling a fresh K-pop lineup, a suggestion emerged to potentially involve members of ‘BTS’, even those currently fulfilling their military service. However, this idea faced strong opposition from K-pop enthusiasts who deemed it impractical and unrealistic. Simultaneously, there were observations that KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ was called off on the same day.
Moreover, it has come to light that the forthcoming concert might face potential cancellation if the influence of Typhoon Kanun is pronounced within Seoul. The dynamic interplay of these factors underscores the complexities and challenges involved in orchestrating large-scale events, particularly amid weather-related uncertainties and the intricate dynamics of artist availability and fan expectations.
