The drive through NH12 to Delawadi Jungle Camp is breathtaking, and I strongly advise you to take it at least once in the spring. From Obaidullaganj (town) forward, there are parallel tracts of Palash tree. It’s a must! P.S. – The last two weeks of March are ideal for seeing Palash, also known as the Flame of the Forest, in full bloom. From the start of spring, the bloom lasts only until the last week of March. It’s a striking orangish-red contrast among dried trees, bushes, and shrubs, and it’s sheer delight for any photographer, road, dryness, or wildlife enthusiast.
